Will they judge me if I haven’t been for years?

You can start by saying what you’d like help with. Tell the team if you feel embarrassed or nervous, so you can talk through the visit before it happens.

I felt genuinely listened to and never judged.Aadam Siddiqi · Google review · general care ↗BDS nervous-patient information
Will it hurt, and will I need an injection?

The dentist can explain what your treatment will feel like and whether numbing is needed. Tell the team about pain, sensitivity or nerves before your visit.

GDC guidance on explaining your treatment
Do I have to choose bonding?

You can talk through bonding, other options and leaving things as they are. Ask what each option can and can’t do for your teeth. The choice comes after you understand the plan.

GDC consent guidance
What will the whole treatment cost?

Your total depends on the teeth and work needed. The practice confirms the cost after an examination and personal plan, before treatment starts. Read the current fee guide, then get your own written plan.

BDS fees and finance
Who is the dentist, and can I check their details?

Dr Ismael Khan is the practice’s founder and principal dentist. His published qualifications are DMD, PGCert and PGDip, with GDC number 285230. Read his bio and use that number to check the GDC register.

Official Ismael biography Search the GDC register
What should I do if a bonded edge chips?

Contact the dentist so the damage can be checked. Composite may be repairable, but whether a repair is covered depends on your written terms.

Bristol Dental School: composite build-ups for tooth wear
Will my smile still look like me?

Bonding uses tooth-coloured material; the shape and shade need to suit your teeth. Discuss the result you want before agreeing to treatment.

What is the next step if I am interested?

Choose “Get my open-day plan” to open a WhatsApp draft. Send it when you’re ready. The team can answer questions and arrange the next step; appointment details and any fee need confirmation.

BDS appointment-request process
Can bonding fix my chip, gap or uneven edge?

Some teeth can be repaired or built up with filling material. An examination is needed to decide whether bonding fits your teeth and bite.

NHS dental treatments
Should I whiten my teeth first?

Discuss whitening before choosing a final shade. Whitening does not lighten existing filling material, so doing it later can leave a mismatch.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS: tooth whitening
Could bonding make my teeth look too big?

The planned shape and size should be discussed before treatment. Ask what change is realistic for your teeth, rather than choosing from a photo alone.

GDC consent standards, Principle 3
Can I see a preview before I decide?

Your open-day plan includes a personal smile preview. Ask the team which format is used. It shows a possible look; the final result can differ.

BDS process + campaign inclusion
How does the assessment credit work?

Your agreed assessment credit goes towards eligible bonding. Check the amount, eligible treatment and any expiry before paying for an assessment.

BDS fee guide; credit conditions are plan-specific
Will polishing, reviews or later repairs cost extra?

Ask for the cost of future care as well as the starting price. Bonding can need maintenance, repair or replacement.

NHS University Hospitals of Leicester: Tooth wear, leaflet 335 v4
What does the repair cover actually include?

The written cover needs to state its length, what it includes and any exclusions. Check those terms and any repair charges before going ahead. Cover does not mean bonding can never chip.

GDC guidance on clear guarantee terms
Can I spread payments, and what happens to a deposit?

BDS lists payment options through Chrysalis Finance, subject to status and terms. Ask for the available plan, total repayable, deposit and cancellation terms before applying.

BDS fees and finance
I am nervous. Can we take it slowly?

Tell the team what worries you when you message. They can discuss your visit and the support available. Ask about breaks and a stop signal before treatment.

BDS nervous-patient information
Will my teeth need drilling, and can bonding be removed later?

Bonding adds material to a tooth, but some teeth need preparation. Ask what will be changed and what later removal would involve.

Bristol Dental School: composite build-ups for tooth wear
My teeth are already sensitive. Can I still have bonding?

Tell the dentist about sensitivity before cosmetic treatment. Its cause needs checking so the right treatment can be discussed.

NHS toothache
What if my bite feels different afterwards?

Ask how the planned work may change your bite and what review is needed. Contact the dentist if you have pain or the bite feels wrong.

NHS University Hospitals of Leicester: Tooth wear, leaflet 335 v4
Is bonding suitable for everyone?

No. The amount of healthy tooth left and the condition of your teeth and bite can limit whether build-ups are suitable.

Bristol Dental School: composite build-ups for tooth wear
Would straightening be better for my crooked teeth?

Braces move teeth; bonding adds filling material. Ask which option addresses the cause of the look you want to change.

NHS dental treatments
Can bonding replace a missing tooth?

A missing tooth needs a different assessment. Bridges, dentures or implants may be options; ordinary cosmetic bonding is not a replacement for that discussion.

NHS dental treatments
What if I grind or clench my teeth?

Tell the dentist, because grinding can damage teeth and fillings. They may recommend a fitted guard or another plan to protect your teeth.

NHS teeth grinding
How long will bonding last?

Bonding is not a lifetime treatment. It can stain, chip or come away, and may need repair or replacement over time.

NHS University Hospitals of Leicester: Tooth wear, leaflet 335 v4
Can I still have tea and coffee?

Composite can stain over time. Ask what your own care plan recommends for drinks, smoking and professional polishing.

NHS University Hospitals of Leicester: Tooth wear, leaflet 335 v4
How do I keep bonded teeth clean?

Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth each day. Ask how to clean around your bonding.

NHS how to keep your teeth clean
How often will I need a check or polish?

Keep regular dental checks. Ask how often your own bonding needs a review or polish.

NHS take care of your teeth and gums
Can a photo or WhatsApp message confirm I am suitable?

A message starts the conversation. A photo cannot replace the in-person examination needed to check your teeth, bite and treatment options.

GDC consent guidance; assessment is individual
Can I have treatment on the open day or before my event?

Message the team about your dates. They can confirm availability once the work and any preparation have been discussed. An enquiry does not reserve a treatment slot.

Consent before treatment; availability is plan-specific
Will Dr Ismael personally treat me?

Confirm who your assessment and treatment will be with when the team arranges your visit. Dr Ismael is the principal dentist; the team can explain the clinician’s role and availability.

BDS clinician biography
Does messaging mean I have agreed to buy?

A question is not consent to treatment. You can ask questions and take time to understand the options before deciding.
